Application of nylon slider

As one of engineering plastics, nylon products “replacing steel with plastics, with excellent performance”, are widely used. Because of its light weight, high strength, self-lubricating, wear-resistant, anti-corrosion, insulation and many other unique properties, it is a widely used engineering plastic, which is widely used in almost all agricultural and industrial fields. 

As technology becomes more and more excellent, plastic nylon has been used in many industries, and nylon sliders have become almost indispensable parts, because the friction coefficient is 8.8 times lower than that of steel, 8.3 times lower than that of copper, and its specific gravity is only one seventh of that of copper.   

Nylon directly replaces many metal products such as original copper, stainless steel and aluminum alloy. It has been made of nylon for many years: pulleys, sliders, gears, pipes,etc., which not only replaces the relative metal products, but also reduces the user’s cost. The cost is reduced, thereby extending the service life of the whole machine and parts, and the economic benefit has been significantly improved. 

In terms of machinery, nylon is used as a vibration-absorbing and wear-resistant material, effectively replacing non-ferrous metals and alloy steel. In a 400kg nylon product, its actual volume is only equivalent to 2.7 tons of steel or 3 tons of bronze. The spare parts not only improve the mechanical efficiency, reduce maintenance, but also increase the general service life by 4-5 times. 

The nylon slider is an excellent plastic product that is more durable than the metal slider. The wear resistance of nylon is better than that of steel, and this nylon slider can only be lubricated once during operation, and does not require a second lubrication. The slider has good impact resistance and fatigue resistance, and the ability to resist vibration is also very good, and the noise generated is 2 to 4 times smaller than that of the steel slider. 

Nylon sliders can be used to make linings for hoppers, silos, and chutes for coal, cement, lime, mineral powder, salt, and grain powder materials. Because of its excellent abrasion resistance, self-lubrication and non-stickiness, the above-mentioned powdery materials do not adhere to storage and transportation equipment and ensure stable transportation.
